According to AP on September 15, Mr. Sunak said that the American giant Bully dog is "a danger to our communities, especially to children". Therefore, the UK is expected to announce plans to ban this breed due to fierce opposition from the people after a series of recent attacks caused by Bully dogs.
Prime Minister Sunak said he had asked government ministers to work with police and dog experts to legally define the American Bully, which is not recognised as a breed by groups such as the UK Kennel Club or the American Kennel Club in the US.

"We will ban this breed under the Dangerous Dogs Act and the new law will be in place by the end of this year," Mr Sunak announced.
Last weekend, an 11-year-old girl was attacked and injured by an American Bully in Birmingham, England. Another man is also believed to have died after being attacked by the same breed recently.
The four dog breeds currently banned in the UK include the American Pit Bull Terrier, the Japanese Tosa Inu, the Argentine Mastiff and the Brazilian Mastiff.
Some campaigners have previously called for the American Bully, which is bred from the American Pit Bull Terrier, to be banned because they believe dangerous traits have been bred into the animal.
