Prime Minister reappoints Deputy Minister of Health

NDO - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 716/QD-TTg dated April 4, 2025 to re-appoint Mr. Tran Van Thuan to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Health.

Mr. Tran Van Thuan's term of appointment is 5 years. The decision takes effect from April 29, 2025.

Previously, in Decision No. 600/QD-TTg dated April 29, 2020, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Tran Van Thuan to the position of Deputy Minister of Health .

Mr. Tran Van Thuan was born in 1970, from Bac Ninh , is a doctor specializing in cancer, has had the title of professor since 2018.

Professor, Doctor Tran Van Thuan is also Chairman of the National Medical Council and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Medical Association.

Professor, Doctor Tran Van Thuan is the former President of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association, former Head of the Oncology Department of Hanoi Medical University. He is also the one who initiated the establishment of the Cancer Patient Support Fund - Bright Tomorrow, which has helped hundreds of thousands of poor cancer patients receive treatment support.
