On December 10, the Government Office issued telegram No. 1984 on an online conference to announce and implement the Government's resolution on policies and directions to remove obstacles and difficulties for renewable energy power projects.
The conference is expected to be held on the afternoon of December 12 at the Government headquarters and the provincial People's Committee headquarters.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will chair the conference, also attended by Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh. In addition, the conference will have the participation of the Minister of Industry and Trade, leaders of the Ministries of Public Security , National Defense, Justice, Planning and Investment, Finance, Construction, etc.
The conference was also attended by leaders of the Central Inspection Commission, leaders of the Government Inspectorate, leaders of the State Audit, chairmen and secretaries of 27 provinces with renewable energy projects...
In particular, investors of 154 renewable energy projects were also invited to attend at the Government headquarters.
In the energy industry, the biggest waste is that dozens of wind and solar power projects with social investment capital of up to billions of USD are still "shelved".
These are projects that were built but not completed on schedule, had violations in investment activities so they could not sell electricity, could not enjoy incentive prices or had sold electricity but were not paid.
Of these, 154 solar power projects approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade for supplementation and advised the Prime Minister to approve supplementation without basis or legal basis for planning were "named" by the inspector.
Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , representatives of investors of renewable energy projects that are "shelved" requested that authorities quickly remove difficulties, guide procedures to correct violations, and supplement planning for the projects...
At the same time, authorities need to support businesses in completing procedural steps to soon sell electricity and bring clean electricity to the grid instead of wasting it in the sun and rain.
