Prime Minister arrives in the US to attend the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week

According to VNA, at 4:45 p.m. on September 17 (local time), the plane carrying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation arrived at San Francisco International Airport, California, USA, starting a working trip to attend the High-Level Week of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, combined with bilateral activities in the US from September 17-23.

At the airport to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation were representatives of the San Francisco city government; Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Nguyen Quoc Dung; Vietnamese Consul General in San Francisco Hoang Anh Tuan; officials and staff of the Consulate General and overseas Vietnamese in San Francisco.

It is expected that within the framework of the working program to attend the High-level Week of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend and speak at the General Debate of the General Assembly; attend and speak at summits and high-level conferences of the United Nations on global issues such as climate change, pandemic response, etc.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will also have bilateral meetings with the United Nations Secretary-General; President of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly and leaders of other countries and international organizations.

During his bilateral activities in the US, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will meet with the US Vice President, leaders of the US Congress, the national security advisor, and several members of the US government cabinet.

Along with that, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will meet the Vietnamese community, Vietnamese officials working at United Nations organizations; visit a number of leading universities and businesses in the US, the NASDAQ stock exchange and attend conferences promoting Vietnam-US trade and investment; witness the signing ceremony to establish a sister city relationship between Ho Chi Minh City and New York City...
