Thuan Bac: Strengthening propaganda and dissemination of law to people

Phuoc Khang commune is home to a large number of Raglai people, whose economy mainly depends on farming and raising livestock; life is difficult. In order for people to be aware of and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws, local Party committees and authorities focus on leadership, direction, and enhancing the coordination role of associations, unions, the Fatherland Front, and village management boards; in particular, promoting the exemplary role of Party members and prestigious people in organizing and implementing the Law on Population and Family Planning in accordance with the people's living habits. Mr. Chamaléa Bé, a prestigious person in Suoi Le village, shared: During village meetings or in my free time, I often chat, grasp the living situation, and share the knowledge I have with the people; With sincerity and openness, people are increasingly aware of many issues, do not believe or listen to false arguments or illegal enticements, but instead pay more attention to building happy families, practicing civilized lifestyles in organizing funerals and weddings in a simple and economical way; cumbersome rituals and customs of the past are largely eliminated, and child marriage no longer occurs.

Identifying the significance and importance of the work of disseminating and popularizing the law, based on the guidance of central and provincial documents every year, the district focuses on issuing plans and organizing many conferences to disseminate and develop laws, resolutions and documents guiding the implementation for leaders, civil servants, public employees and people in the area. In addition, focusing on innovating the content and form of disseminating and popularizing the law in a concise, easy-to-understand manner associated with the work of building, implementing, protecting the law and protecting the political tasks of the district, especially issues of public concern such as the Land Law, the Law on Drug Prevention and Control; legal policies on marriage and family, gender equality; anti-corruption...

At the same time, organizations in the political system in the district have organized many information and propaganda activities such as responding to Vietnamese Family Day (June 28) with many themes "Connecting love", "Warm and loving family meals", responding to the World Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (November 25); implementing propaganda "Reducing child marriage and consanguineous marriage in ethnic minority areas"; strengthening consulting and intervention activities integrated with programs, projects, and models of reproductive health care, maternal and child health, population and family planning, nutrition, physical development, etc., attracting the participation of many people from all walks of life.

Mr. Thuan Sa Pa, an officer of the Justice Department of Thuan Bac district, said: Based on the actual situation, the Fatherland Front and associations and organizations have had many good and creative ways in the work of TTPBGDPL. Up to now, 6/6 communes have been recognized as communes that meet the annual standards of legal access; the rate of people in the area with a good level of understanding and compliance with the law is over 80%.

Through propaganda activities, the awareness of law compliance of cadres, civil servants, public employees and people of all walks of life in the district has been raised, contributing effectively to the prevention and suppression of illegal activities, especially among young people. Along with that, the preservation and maintenance of customs, traditional values and cultural values bearing the national identity have been promoted; customs and practices that are no longer suitable have been abolished, not negatively affecting the local socio-economic development.
