To celebrate the 16th anniversary of Vietnam Brand Day (April 20, 2008 - April 20, 2024), on April 16, the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) organized the Opening Ceremony of Vietnam National Brand Week and the Vietnam National Brand International Forum 2024 in a hybrid format (combining in-person and online) in Hanoi , along with a sideline activity of the Vietnam National Brand Achievement Photo Exhibition.
The Vietnam National Brand International Forum is an annual event within the framework of Vietnam National Brand Week with the goal of creating in-depth, multi-perspective dialogues that attract the participation of a large number of delegates from management agencies, experts, domestic and foreign organizations as well as businesses related to brand building and development.
In his opening speech, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam National Brand Council, affirmed that the Vietnamese business community has been making efforts to develop and contribute to promoting the strong promotion of Vietnam National Brand in the context of the world economy and politics continuing to develop in a complex and unpredictable manner with many difficulties, challenges, and negative impacts on domestic production, trade and investment activities.

“Vietnam has always been considered one of the most dynamic and open economies in the world, becoming the 4th largest economy in ASEAN and the 40th in the world. According to the assessment of the world's leading brand valuation consultancy - Brand Finance, Vietnam's national brand has a growth rate of 102% in the period from 2019 to 2023. The national brand value in 2023 reached 498.13 billion USD, an increase of 15.6% compared to 2022 and has continuously grown by double digits over the past 5 years, ranking 33rd in the Top 121 strongest national brands in the world. The value of Vietnam's national brand has affirmed its increasingly high prestige and position in the international arena, while demonstrating Vietnam's proactiveness and stature in international integration" - Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan assessed.
The Vietnam National Brand Program is a unique, long-term and specific trade promotion program of the Government assigned to the Ministry of Industry and Trade as the standing agency, responsible for coordinating with ministries and branches to implement, aiming to build the image of Vietnam as a country with prestige in high-quality goods and services, increase the pride and attractiveness of the country and people of Vietnam, contribute to promoting foreign trade development and enhancing national competitiveness.
Over 20 years of establishment and development, the Vietnam National Brand Program has achieved positive results, attracted special attention and created prestige for businesses, management agencies as well as domestic and foreign consumers. In addition, the Program always accompanies and supports localities, associations, and businesses to develop high-quality product, goods, and service brands, increasing the pride and attractiveness of the country and people of Vietnam, contributing to promoting awareness of the close relationship between National Brands and product brands and business brands to enhance national competitiveness.

Also within the framework of “Vietnam National Brand Week”, the Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinates with relevant agencies and organizations to organize the Vietnam National Brand International Forum 2024 with the theme “Elevating core values”. This theme is a call for us with great and challenging responsibilities. Elevating core values is not only promoting economic development but also building corporate culture, building a fair society and sustainable development.
With the theme "Elevating core values", this year's Forum has the participation of experts, speakers from state management agencies, RMIT University (Australia), and a number of enterprises with national brand products. At the Forum, delegates shared information on: Core values of national brands and solutions to enhance core values of national brands; Promoting strength, increasing the value of 'Made in Vietnam' products through brand building and development activities; International experience in brand building and development and proposing directions and solutions for Vietnam. In addition, a photo exhibition of Vietnam's national brand achievements will take place on the sidelines of the Vietnam National Brand International Forum 2024.
The above activities are organized to raise awareness among the public and the business community about the Vietnam National Brand Program and businesses with products achieving the Vietnam National Brand, while also helping to equip the business community with more knowledge about the importance of building and developing brands in production and business activities, especially in the context of international economic integration.
Vietnam National Brand Week 2024 takes place from April 15 to 21, 2024 with many practical activities such as (i) Congratulatory letter from the Minister of Industry and Trade, Chairman of the Vietnam National Brand Council sent to the Vietnamese business community; (ii) Deploying propaganda plans in visual form; (iii) Coordinating with media agencies and units to propagate and promote on media; (iv) Opening ceremony of Vietnam National Brand Week 2024 and Vietnam National Brand International Forum 2024; (v) Photo exhibition of achievements of Vietnam National Brand./.
