Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan received a delegation from the Cambodian Military History Institute.

On the afternoon of May 16, at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense , Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), received a delegation from the Cambodian Military History Institute led by General Meas Sina, Deputy Secretary of State of the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense, on the occasion of a working visit to Vietnam.

Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan congratulated Cambodia on successfully hosting the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32). Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and gives top priority to continuously consolidating and developing the good neighborly relationship, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability with Cambodia.

For his part, General Meas Sina informed Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan of the results of the delegation's previous talks with the Vietnam Military History Institute. Accordingly, the two sides discussed many important cooperation contents in the coming time such as increasing delegation exchanges, exchanging experiences, cooperating in training cadres, improving capacity...

Highly appreciating the cooperation between the Vietnam Military History Institute and the Cambodian Military History Institute in recent times, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan affirmed that the leaders of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army are always ready to create conditions for the two agencies to promote cooperation, focusing on the fields of training and coaching of cadres, cooperation in joint military history research projects, ensuring high theoretical and practical values, especially historical lessons drawn from the practical support and cooperation between the two sides in historical periods, thereby organizing propaganda and education for the armies and people of the two countries, especially the younger generation, about the meaning and importance of preserving and consolidating the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.
