Over the past years, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of the province has actively advised the Provincial People's Committee on State management of the fields of labor, employment and vocationaleducation ; policies for people with meritorious services; social protection and poverty reduction... actively contributing to ensuring social security in the area.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, said: Every year, the unit has coordinated with relevant sectors to advise the province on documents directing the implementation of national programs and goals and documents directing the State management of the fields that the sector is assigned to be in charge of. Guidance on implementing digital transformation in non-cash social security payments for social protection beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions...
In the field of labor, employment and vocational education, the sector has directed the organization of labor policy consulting activities, employment, unemployment insurance. Information on the labor market is updated and announced on the website, Facebook Fanpage of the Provincial Employment Service Center; directly announced to communes and towns... At the same time, coordinate with labor recruitment units to organize job consulting conferences, job fairs in localities. In addition, direct consultation, by phone, social networks; participation in online job transactions... In the first 6 months of this year, 157 workers were connected to work abroad for a limited period.
In addition, vocational training institutions in the province have promoted counseling and enrollment; innovated teaching and learning methods, linked training institutions with businesses; provided training according to the addresses and needs of businesses, and the socio -economic development orientation of the province. In the first 6 months of the year, the whole province organized training for 2,744 workers. The rate of trained workers was about 59.42%, an increase of 1.92% over the same period in 2022.
Mr. Truong Vinh Linh, Deputy Head of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Moc Chau district, said: Since the beginning of the year, the department has coordinated to review and organize 15 vocational training classes for 496 workers. At the same time, the department has coordinated with the district's Continuing Education Center to innovate training work; cooperate with training units to organize 6 intermediate vocational training classes for 191 students. Students are trained in 2 programs at the same time: continuing general education and intermediate vocational training, and are exempted from 100% of tuition fees for intermediate vocational training classes according to regulations.
The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of the province strengthens coordination to promote propaganda and guidance on regulations on social insurance and unemployment insurance policies to employees and enterprises in the province. Disseminate knowledge and laws on occupational safety and hygiene to units and enterprises in the province, ensuring that employees work in a safe environment. Strictly implement regulations and targets, ensure publicity and transparency of policies and regimes for people with meritorious services, subsidy regimes for relatives of people with meritorious services, nursing, health rehabilitation, orthopedic devices; one-time subsidies for deceased people with meritorious services; subsidies for martyrs' worship; one-time subsidies for relatives of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers... During holidays, Tet, and annual War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, the whole province gives tens of thousands of gifts to people with meritorious services to the revolution, worth billions of VND. To implement social assistance policies for social protection beneficiaries, the sector has directed the organization to review and compile a list of beneficiaries; provide guidance on completing procedures and documents to enjoy social protection policies according to regulations. Mobilize and encourage organizations and individuals to provide vocational training and create jobs for people with disabilities, helping disabled workers earn more income and reduce difficulties in life.
Implementing the Project to support poor households with housing difficulties according to Decision No. 337/QD-UBND dated March 2, 2021 of the Provincial People's Committee, the whole province has supported 3,779 houses, of which 3,566 were newly built; 213 houses were repaired, with a total support budget of VND 250,944 million. The work of reviewing, supplementing, and removing households from the list of poor households has also been carried out seriously and regularly, ensuring publicity and transparency. The fields: Child protection and care; gender equality and for the advancement of women; prevention and control of social evils; prevention and control of prostitution, prevention and control of human trafficking... have all been advised by the sector to the Provincial People's Committee for effective implementation.
With practical activities, the provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has actively contributed to ensuring social security policies in the area; mechanisms and policies in the fields of labor, meritorious people and society continue to be amended and supplemented appropriately and meet requirements. The national target program on sustainable poverty reduction is implemented synchronously with other socio-economic development programs in the province, creating important resources to achieve the goal of economic growth, improving life, and increasing income for people in the province.
