At the City Central Market, the atmosphere of buying and selling has returned to bustling. Ms. Vu Thi Quyen, a clothing seller, shared: Previously, people were worried when the inspection teams suddenly came because they did not fully understand the tax regulations or legal procedures, leading to the fear of having their goods confiscated. Thanks to the propaganda and guidance from the Market Management Board, I and many other businesses have reopened.
Mr. Doan Manh Cuong, Head of the City Central Market Management Board, said: Currently, the Central Market has 271 fixed points of sale and more than 80 non-fixed points of sale. In the past week, we have increased our advocacy, propaganda, and guidance for households to prepare full documents, invoices, and price listings. Up to now, about 98% of the business households in the market have returned to operation, the number of businesses that are closed are mainly those that previously showed signs of declining revenue and were busy with family matters.
At the Thuan Chau Town Central Market, there are 120 business households. A few days ago, many traders in the market temporarily closed their doors. Currently, business activities at the market have stabilized again. Mr. Do Xuan Chinh, a member of the Town Central Market Management Board, said: Up to now, 90% of the business households in the market have been trading normally. The Market Management Board continues to propagate and mobilize traders to maintain stable business, ensure that goods have clear origin, good quality, and comply with regulations to protect the interests of the business households themselves and consumers.
Currently, the province has 90 traditional markets, including 10 second-class markets and 80 third-class markets, meeting the business needs of thousands of small traders. Along with that, the province has developed a variety of modern commercial infrastructure types, including 1 shopping center, 4 supermarkets, 19 WinMart+ mini supermarkets and 34 electronics and phone supermarkets belonging to large chains. Up to now, businesses in the district's central markets, which had been closed, have basically returned to normal operations. Many small traders have proactively learned about legal regulations, completed business legal documents, used cash registers, and changed the way they imported goods to clarify the origin of products, helping customers feel secure when shopping.
Ms. Do Thi Bich Chau, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said: The purpose of the inspection is to detect, prevent and handle acts of trading in counterfeit, fake, poor quality goods, goods of unknown origin, violating food hygiene and safety or commercial fraud, ensuring consumer rights, maintaining fairness among business households. The inspection teams carry out their tasks in a spirit of transparency, publicity and following procedures. Special attention is paid to supporting and accompanying small traders. Inspection activities will be maintained regularly, creating a healthy, sustainable and stable business environment.
The interdisciplinary inspection teams continue to promote propaganda and legal guidance so that small traders clearly understand their rights and obligations as well as grasp legal regulations related to production and business activities such as business conditions, trading goods must have invoices, documents, full product labels, ensuring food safety...
The peak inspection period to fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property infringement is a time for businesses to renew themselves, moving towards professional, transparent, and sustainable business.
