Tien Hai implements synchronous economic development solutions

In recent years, Tien Hai commune (Phu Ly city) has focused on exploiting the potential and strengths of the locality, building highly effective economic development models; thanks to that, people's lives have been increasingly improved, and the appearance of the countryside has changed a lot.

Previously, Tien Hai was a purely agricultural commune, with undeveloped secondary industries and many difficulties in people's lives. During the off-season, many local workers had to work far away to earn extra income to cover their living expenses. With the goal of economic development, job creation and income increase for workers, in recent years, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Tien Hai commune have focused on leading and directing the implementation of many economic development solutions, focusing on diversifying small-scale industrial production; at the same time, connecting with a number of businesses in the province to provide information and introduce jobs for local workers. Thereby, regular jobs have been created for more than 100 workers with an income of 6 - 8 million VND/person/month. Currently, the whole commune has more than 90 thriving individual businesses with occupations such as: Carpentry, construction, garment, welding, etc. The industrial and handicraft production value of the commune in the first 6 months of 2024 is estimated to reach 60.1 billion VND, reaching 47.5% of the yearly plan, up 2.5% over the same period in 2023 and accounting for 38.5% of the economic structure.

Not only promoting the development of industrial and handicraft production, Tien Hai commune also focuses on increasing the value of agricultural production with many diverse and flexible methods. Tien Hai has a total agricultural land area of ​​453.5 hectares. Along with the mechanization of land preparation and harvesting, in 2022, Tien Hai applied the model of mechanical tray planting into production, contributing to liberating labor and bringing high efficiency. In the first 6 months of 2024, the total grain output of the commune is estimated at 1,309.57 tons, an increase of 3.2% over the same period in 2023. The average value per hectare of cultivated land is estimated at 80 million VND/year.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoan, Chairman of Tien Hai Commune People's Committee said: Overcoming existing limitations, continuing to promote the achieved results, striving to successfully complete the tasks and economic development targets in 2024, in the coming time, Tien Hai commune will focus on developing agricultural production in the direction of goods; proactively taking measures to prevent and control diseases on crops and livestock; effectively implementing measures to prevent and respond to storms, floods, etc. In addition, Tien Hai focuses on developing small-scale industries, trade and services; mobilizing resources to invest in construction and completion of infrastructure, creating conditions for people to borrow capital for production and business, developing diverse industries such as garment, livestock, cultivation, civil carpentry, etc. to increase income.

Thanks to the synchronous and effective implementation of economic development solutions, in recent years, the material and spiritual life of the people of Tien Hai commune has been constantly improved. In order to successfully achieve the socio-economic development goals, in the coming time, the Party Committee, government and people of Tien Hai commune will continue to promote internal strength, be proactive and creative, mobilize maximum resources, exploit the potential and advantages of the locality to promote economic development, increase income and improve people's lives.
