The development of the Ho Chi Minh City Veterans' Song and Dance Troupe had a great contribution from the Head of the Troupe - People's Artist Thanh Dinh. After graduating from the Vietnam Music School, he volunteered to serve the army in fierce battlefields in the Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions until the day the country was reunified. He brought with him a strong, heroic opera voice with a passionate heart to serve the soldiers, youth volunteers, wounded soldiers at military stations, infirmaries and villages. His voice captivated, inspired and strengthened the spirit of thousands of soldiers crossing Truong Son to the front.
