Tay Ninh not only has advantages in terms of geographical location and climate but also has a developed irrigation system, which plays an important role in promoting the agricultural sector. Thanks to the convergence of all the factors of "heavenly time, favorable location, and harmony between people", Tay Ninh's agricultural sector continues to make breakthroughs in development.
Target growth above 4.5%
At the 17th session of the Provincial People's Council (term 2021-2026), along with adjusting the growth rate from 8% to 10% in 2025, 2% higher than the direction of the Central Government; adjusting and supplementing a number of key tasks and solutions; breakthrough programs for socio-economic development in 2025, striving to achieve the highest results in the goals and targets of the 5-year socio-economic development plan (2021-2025), creating momentum for the next stage. Accordingly, Tay Ninh's agricultural sector sets a growth target of over 4.5%. This figure is 1-1.5% higher than the national average.
To achieve this goal, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Xuan - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment said that the industry continues to firmly build a comprehensively developed agriculture in a modern direction, with high added value; aiming to build a smart, circular, integrated agriculture, adapting to climate change. At the same time, promote the application of science and technology in crop and livestock production to improve product quality, meet export standards, develop a sustainable agricultural market in the direction of "Ecological agriculture, modern countryside, civilized farmers".

As evidence of the achieved results, the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment added that in 2024, Tay Ninh province's agricultural sector achieved impressive growth, ranking 10th in the country in terms of growth rate, with the GRDP value of the agricultural, forestry and fishery sector reaching 14,510 billion VND, up 4.5% over the same period, reaching the highest growth rate since 2020, higher than the national average (3.3%).
In the field of large-scale and high-tech livestock farming, the province attracted 18 investment projects, with a total capital of about 904 billion VND. The livestock farming structure continues to shift from small-scale farming to concentrated farm-scale farming, ensuring biosafety. According to statistics, there are 496 livestock and poultry farms in the province, of which 51 farms are certified as VietGAHP; Duong Minh Chau and Tan Chau districts are certified as disease-free zones. Investment promotion and attraction work has been widely implemented. The Department is appraising 6 construction projects, with 16 bird's nest houses, and giving opinions on 4 livestock investment projects.
Prioritize clean, "green" agricultural investment projects
The Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term has also consistently maintained the viewpoint of "not trading the environment for economic growth". In implementing the Environmental Protection Strategy, the province has issued a plan to implement the National Environmental Protection Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2050. The goal is to prevent the trend of increasing pollution and environmental degradation; ensure environmental security, build and develop circular economic models, green economy, low carbon, and strive to achieve sustainable development goals by 2030.

Currently, Tay Ninh province is focusing on attracting investment in the agricultural and livestock sectors in accordance with the planning. In particular, the orientation is to select and prioritize projects with advanced science and technology content, environmental friendliness, renewable energy development, circular economic model development, clean agriculture, high-tech agriculture, etc. According to statistics, Tay Ninh currently has 146 livestock projects in operation, 51 projects under construction. New projects are all invested in modern, highly automated production lines, contributing to the formation of livestock chains according to international standards, with a system of farms applying green technology, applying a closed process according to international standards ISO and Global GAP to help minimize environmental impacts, save resources and ensure animal welfare, such as: DHP Food Processing Factory Complex project (phase 1) and two DHN Tay Ninh High-tech Livestock Farming Zone projects, belonging to the DHN High-tech Livestock Farming Zone project chain with a total investment of 2,500 billion VND in Trang Bang town; DHN High-tech Livestock Farming Zone project 2 (export broiler farm) and DHN 5 (breeding chicken farm) in Tan Chau district...

By the end of March 2025, the whole province had 68/71 communes meeting new rural standards; 26/71 communes meeting advanced new rural standards; 4/71 communes meeting model new rural standards; Hoa Thanh town completed the task of building new rural areas; Trang Bang town, Tay Ninh city, Ben Cau district completed, met new rural construction standards, and are completing documents to submit to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment for appraisal. The Department of Staff of the Provincial People's Committee approved the pilot project of smart new rural commune model for Truong Dong commune, Hoa Thanh town.
In Tay Ninh province, there are currently 139 OCOP products, including 96 3-star products, 42 4-star products and 11 5-star products.
