Except for water vehicles performing tasks of national security and defense, natural disaster prevention, search and rescue, traffic regulation, anti-collision, and traffic safety guidance.
The Northern Maritime and Waterways Department added that the time is limited until further notice because the river water in the area is gradually decreasing but is still at a high level, the flood is strong so it is not possible to accurately estimate the damage to buoys and signals.
In the areas managed by the Maritime Port and Waterway Authorities of Hue, Da Nang, Quang Tri and Quang Nam (old), no damage has been recorded and maritime activities are operating normally.
The Ministry of Construction has requested the Vietnam Maritime Administration to direct its affiliated units to coordinate with relevant local units to guide anchoring and safe shelters for vehicles and take measures to ensure the safety of people and vehicles in emergency situations.
Agencies, units and localities require vehicles anchored near river bridges to move to safe anchorage locations, absolutely do not let vehicles drift due to strong floods causing boats to drift and crash into river crossing structures.
The agencies also urged inland waterway management and maintenance units to promptly withdraw buoys and signals before floods arrive or upon receiving flood discharge notices from the Civil Defense Command of localities in the Central region; promptly re-deploy buoy and signal systems immediately after floods recede to ensure waterway traffic safety.
