On November 7, authorities of Ben Cat ward, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly part of Ben Cat city, Binh Duong province) said they had controlled an ostrich running in My Phuoc 2 industrial park.

Authorities are currently searching for the owner of this ostrich to coordinate handling.

Regarding the information that this ostrich escaped from captivity in a zoo at a large tourist area nearby, the tourist area said that it had not discovered that the zoo was missing ostriches and had not confirmed that the ostrich was theirs.

Therefore, it is not possible to rule out the possibility that the ostrich escaped from captivity of people or other private units.

Earlier, at noon the same day, local people discovered a large ostrich running on NA3 road, My Phuoc industrial park, Ben Cat ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

The ostrich was so big and fast that many curious people took video of it.

When the video was posted on social media, many people commented on the rare incident, some also expressed concern that large animals escaping from their cages and running on the street could be dangerous.

By the afternoon of the same day, when the ostrich ran into the gate of a factory in the industrial park, it was controlled and arrested.
