When doing makeup for celebrities, Mi Nguyen's biggest challenge is "making their already beautiful faces even more beautiful." Therefore, she has to thoroughly research how they attend events, what outfits they wear, and then come up with makeup and hairstyle ideas to suit them.

Mi Nguyen did the makeup for runner-up Phuong Nga and Huyen Lizzie.

"In the early days when I accepted to do makeup for runner-up Thuy Van and actress Huyen Lizzie, I was quite scared. They are all very beautiful so I was careful, examining every brush stroke on my face. Runner-up Thuy Van is a television face so she never wants to wear makeup that is too heavy or too bold, standing out from others. In addition, she has a delicate face so she is afraid that her makeup will make her look old and fierce.

Actress Huyen Lizzie can tell if she gains or loses weight by looking at her face, so I have to adjust the brightness and darkness on her face carefully. During filming, her skin gets dark, so I have to apply 3 layers of foundation, which is very difficult. However, when she is out of character, Huyen Lizzie focuses on skin care, so applying makeup is easier.

"Runner-up Phuong Nga has porcelain-white skin, so makeup is easier for her. However, Phuong Nga is very quick to catch on to trends. I always have to research the most fashionable styles to suit her," Mi Nguyen said.

According to Mi Nguyen, doing makeup for celebrities is stressful in terms of perfection, but most of them have very pleasant personalities.

"Runner-up Thuy Van is serious on television but humorous in real life, while Huyen Lizzie and runner-up Phuong Nga have very 'unusual' personalities, and are more playful than I imagined when thinking about a celebrity," Mi Nguyen expressed.

Mi Nguyen also affirmed that the makeup profession is currently very competitive, and doing makeup for celebrities is very stressful, but the pay "is not as much as people think."

"Sometimes, doing makeup for celebrities is a synergy, a mutual support, and sometimes I get rewarded with a cup of bubble tea. Doing makeup for business people, my income is much better," Mi Nguyen shared.
