Expanding transportation infrastructure and building advanced new rural areas in Bac Ruong.

Through state funding and contributions from the people, the inter-commune and inter-village transportation system has been upgraded, creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development and improving the lives of the people in Bac Ruong commune after the merger. The commune is gradually achieving the advanced new rural standard.

The inter-communal road connecting Bac Ruong and Tanh Linh contributes to the economic development of the agricultural region.

Socialization of rural transportation

The sight of national flags adorning both sides of the clean, beautiful asphalt road, interspersed with shady rows of mahogany trees leading to the Cultural House of Hamlet 4, Bac Ruong Commune, partly demonstrates the synchronized infrastructure here. This smooth, wide asphalt road connects the DT717 and DT720 roads, linking Bac Ruong Commune with Tanh Linh Commune, leading to the large-scale model rice fields of the two merged communes. This facilitates the introduction of advanced techniques for cultivating and harvesting organic rice annually by a large number of people.

Not only that connecting road, but in recent years, many sections of rural and inter-field roads that were degraded or damaged have been upgraded with smooth concrete, connecting residential areas and leading to production areas. “In Hamlet 4, Bac Ruong alone, many village roads and alleys have been upgraded with concrete thanks to the 'State and People Working Together' model over the years. The shade of mahogany trees and other flowering trees adorns the village roads. Along with the 'Effective People's Mobilization' model and the socialization of rural infrastructure construction, the villagers voluntarily upgraded and concreted the drainage ditch embankment and rural road in Hamlet 4, a 350-meter stretch, costing 200 million VND,” shared Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai, Head of Hamlet 4.

Meanwhile, in recent years, following the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council, Bac Ruong commune has successfully implemented the socialization of rural transportation in this field, receiving widespread support from the people and philanthropists in the area. This has contributed to Bac Ruong achieving criterion number 2: rural transportation meeting the standards of the new rural development program, aiming towards advanced new rural development. The entire commune has upgraded and concreted over 60 km of rural and inter-field roads, with a total investment of over 30 billion VND. In addition, 43 km of inter-field irrigation canals have been reinforced, serving irrigation for over 2,932 hectares of agricultural land; with a total investment of nearly 39 billion VND (31 billion VND from the State, and 8 billion VND contributed by businesses and people).

Synchronizing infrastructure

In Bac Ruong commune, projects funded by the provincial budget are being implemented, contributing to the comprehensive upgrading of local infrastructure and serving the people's needs. Specifically, these include: the Ta Pao irrigation system is nearing completion; temporary river embankments are being built, and the Quan River is being reinforced, dredged, and its flow redirected; the Thanh Nien stream bridge is combined with a water regulation cluster on inter-village road 1-4; the water supply pipeline is being expanded in Bac Ruong commune; along with the completion of school and residential area projects… The total investment is approximately 175 billion VND.

Mr. Phan Van Tan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Bac Ruong commune, said: “All the central roads of the commune and quite a few muddy dirt roads in the villages have now been paved with concrete. This is thanks to the local government's ability to utilize its internal resources, take advantage of state investment capital, and mobilize the strength of the whole society to work together to build rural and agricultural roads. The synchronized transportation and irrigation systems connect production areas, making goods transportation more convenient, promoting local economic development, and contributing to building Bac Ruong commune into an advanced new rural area in the coming time.”

This was achieved thanks to the local authorities' ability to leverage their internal resources, take advantage of state investment capital, and mobilize the strength of the entire society to work together in building rural and inter-field transportation infrastructure. The synchronized transportation and irrigation systems connect production areas, facilitating the convenient transportation of goods. "This will promote local economic development and contribute to building Bac Ruong commune into an advanced new rural area in the coming time."
