On December 10th, RPP reported that the reigning Miss Universe continued to be the focus of media attention when she appeared on Telemundo's "Pica y se extiende" program.
The Mexican beauty queen was invited to participate in a live interview and faced a series of questions revolving around the crown as well as controversies surrounding the President of the Miss Universe Organization.

In front of the cameras, Fátima Bosch appeared uncomfortable but still tried to answer. When asked if she would have participated in the competition if she had known about the controversies beforehand, she said: “Miss Universe is like a dream. My job is to be a voice for women. I have nothing to do with the controversies of the competition.”
Shortly afterward, the beauty queen expressed her frustration with the production team for constantly putting her in difficult situations: "Sadly, many people feel uncomfortable seeing a woman shine. No one asks me about the community activities I'm involved in. They only ask about the controversies."
After about 10 minutes of conversation, the program paused for commercials. The host announced that Bosch would continue to appear in the next segment and would be accompanying Telemundo's programs throughout the week.

However, right after the interview break, the newly crowned beauty queen unexpectedly left the studio and refused to return. She also decided to cancel all previously scheduled interviews with the channel.
During the interview, Bosch asserted that she was completely unaware of being sued for defamation by Nawat Itsaragrisil, the head of the Miss Universe 2025 organizing committee. She expressed her surprise, saying, "I am not involved in any lawsuit. I did not defame anyone and I don't want to talk about this."
However, shortly after the show, host Carlos Adyan revealed that backstage, Bosch admitted her family was aware of the lawsuit and was looking into how to handle it.
Many international media outlets believe Bosch's decision to abruptly end the program was inappropriate for a Miss Universe. Former Miss Universe Andrea Meza (from Mexico) also defended Telemundo, saying, "My colleagues were just asking what the audience wanted to know. They were doing their job."
On her personal page, Bosch denied the allegations and said the media was "taking things too far." She asserted that she has always fulfilled her responsibilities.

This isn't the first time the Mexican beauty has abruptly ended an event. In November, she walked out of the sash presentation ceremony after a verbal altercation with Mr. Nawat.
According to USA Today, the Thai businesswoman allegedly used harsh language when Bosch refused a photoshoot for a sponsor, causing her and several other contestants to leave the venue, forcing the event to stop.
Following the incident, the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) issued a statement reprimanding Mr. Nawat for his "disrespectful" remarks, sparking a global wave of criticism directed at the Thai businessman.
However, in early December, the Miss Grand International (MGI) organization – which organizes the Miss Universe 2025 competition in Thailand – announced it was filing a lawsuit against Bosch, claiming that she had misunderstood Mr. Nawat's English statement and continued to spread false information, damaging the businessman's reputation.
Although the Miss Universe 2025 competition concluded at the end of November, the controversies surrounding the victory of the new Miss Bosch have not subsided.

Following the final night on November 21st, many viewers flooded the MUO homepage to protest the results and call for a boycott of the new Miss Universe. Some contestants and judges also argued that Bosch only deserved the runner-up position.
Allegations of "rigged results" spread further when a former judge revealed that the Bosch family had close ties to the President of MUO.
Fátima Bosch (born 2000) is a model and designer from Mexico, crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2025 in September. She graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana with a degree in Fashion Design and Garment Making.
With her height of 1.74m, striking features, and her own fashion brand, Bosch attracted attention from the very beginning of the competition. She comes from a family with a political and business background in Mexico.
