In the final report, Mr. Dao Khac Viet, Project Manager, Save the Children, emphasized the positive impacts that the project has brought to children aged 3 to 11 through improving the quality of teaching and the learning environment at home. In particular, three good practice models were successfully implemented within the project framework, including: A text message program to support parents in accompanying their children in learning at home via an online platform; The Vietnamese reading learning application "Reading with You" with 500 lively interactive reading lessons for primary school students; Capacity building activities for teachers and education managers focusing on teaching reading and writing to primary school students (LB) and introducing letters and math to preschool children (ELM).
These modules have been digitized and integrated into the online system of the Ministry of Education and Training , and teachers are encouraged to register for self-study. Many provinces have also proactively organized retraining and professional activities to guide teachers in integrating LB and ELM into their curricula, contributing to the sustainable spread of innovative approaches.
The project provided 25,503 sets of ELM and LB materials, 8,300 children's story books, 79 bookshelves, 310 reading tables and 205 technological devices such as computers, tablets and televisions. In total, more than 27,238 children, 1,677 teachers and 27,296 parents directly benefited from the project's activities.
