All students of Hanoi National University will learn AI applications from the first year

On May 12, Hanoi National University said that in the context of global digital transformation, Hanoi National University has proactively developed the course "Introduction to digital technology and artificial intelligence applications" to equip students with basic knowledge of digital thinking and AI right from the first year.

This new course will be officially deployed to full-time students of Hanoi National University from the enrollment period of 2025, with online training.

"In the context of strong digital transformation globally, equipping students with digital thinking and basic knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer a choice, but has become a mandatory requirement for university students," Hanoi National University emphasized.

The course "Introduction to digital technology and artificial intelligence applications" consists of 3 credits, built according to a modular structure, including compulsory and elective components suitable for different training fields such as natural sciences, engineering - technology, social sciences and humanities, economics - law, foreign languages ​​and educational sciences...

This course will provide basic knowledge and skills, as a premise for students to acquire specialized courses on technology and artificial intelligence applications in specialized fields of training.

Not only stopping at teaching familiar information technology knowledge and applications as before, the course also focuses on updated content, approaching the digital competency framework of countries around the world such as data mining, digital communication, creativity in digital environment, digital security, exploitation and application of artificial intelligence to serve learning and research in different career fields.

The course also places special emphasis on promoting independent and creative thinking, not depending on artificial intelligence for students - the young generation of intellectuals, young human resources, while ensuring academic integrity and ethical issues, and responsibility in applying artificial intelligence.

This course is expected to be issued at the end of May 2025 and will be applied for online teaching from September 2025 for students enrolled from 2025 throughout Hanoi National University.
