To ensure production, the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection of Dong Thap province recommends that farmers need to apply technical solutions well from the beginning of the crop such as: 3 reductions 3 increases, 1 must 5 reductions, fertilizing with a ratio of 50 - 100% DAP + 50% Potassium before the final tillage, integrated plant health management (IPHM), reasonable water management, organic fertilizers... to help rice grow and develop well, minimize the occurrence and damage of pests, contribute to saving production costs, and create safe products.

In addition, farmers need to visit the fields regularly, detect early pests such as leaf blast, leaf blight, etc. to have timely management and care measures, limiting the impact on rice growth. Farmers can spray to prevent neck blast, grain smut at the early and even flowering stages, strictly following the 4 correct principles when spraying. At the same time, pay attention not to spray pesticides and growth stimulants on rice plants at least 20 days before harvest to ensure quarantine time and food safety; collect packaging and bottles of pesticides after use to limit environmental pollution...
