Honoring humanistic, intellectual and service-oriented Buddhist journalism works

In order to join hands in spreading the light of the Dharma, contributing to building a humane, intelligent and serving Buddhist journalism environment, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha has sent a document to the Vietnam Journalists Association; Journalists Associations of provinces and cities; affiliated Journalists Associations and Branches; press agencies; press reporters and collaborators about participating in the National Buddhist Journalism Awards 2025.

Previously, on June 6, 2025, at Quan Su Pagoda (No. 73 Quan Su Street, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi City), the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha held the National Buddhist Journalism Awards Ceremony with the theme "Propaganda of Good Religion - Beautiful Life, Vietnamese Buddhism accompanies the Nation" for the first time in 2024, and at the same time launched the 2025 Buddhist Journalism Awards.

The 2025 Award emphasizes the application of Buddhism in contemporary life with 12 groups of content, with the following topics: Buddhism and life; Bright examples of religion, Monks and Nuns - Missionaries; Buddhism & Education - Culture, Buddhism accompanies the nation, Modern Dharma: History of Buddhism; Rituals and beliefs; Buddhism and youth, International Buddhism; Buddhism & science - philosophy, Buddhist literature and art.

The award is held to honor, recognize, and promptly encourage reporters, journalists, collaborators, and researchers to overcome difficulties to produce quality journalistic works, bringing positive values ​​to society, contributing to the propagation of the Buddhist way of life "Good Religion - Beautiful Life", and connecting the application of Buddhism in religious life and social life. The Buddhist Journalism Award is organized to create opportunities for journalists, collaborators, and researchers to exchange experiences and improve their journalism skills in the field of Buddhism.

According to the contest rules, entries fall into three categories: print and electronic newspapers, radio and television; and press photos.

Eligible entries are those published and broadcast on media and press agencies from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025. The Organizing Committee will receive entries from June 6, 2025 to January 5, 2026. Entries can be submitted by author, group of authors or by press agency. The Organizing Committee will award prizes to press agencies with many entries in the final round.

The Prize structure includes 1 Special Prize: 100 million VND; 3 First Prizes: 25 million VND/prize; 3 Second Prizes: 15 million VND/prize; 3 Third Prizes: 10 million VND/prize. In addition, the Organizing Committee will award 15 Encouragement Prizes; Prizes for press agencies with many quality works submitted to the contest; Prizes for individuals with many works...
