On the morning of September 30, General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and other Party and State leaders and former leaders attended the 12th Congress of the Military Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

The Congress has the theme: "Promoting the tradition of the heroic Army, building a clean, strong, exemplary, and representative Party organization, a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern Army; enhancing national defense strength, firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam, contributing to building a peaceful , prosperous, prosperous, civilized, and happy country."

The Congress will discuss and contribute opinions to the draft documents of the Central Committee to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress; and elect the delegation of the Military Party Committee to attend the 14th National Party Congress.

Speaking at the congress, General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense, said that over the past five years, the country has had many opportunities and advantages, but also many difficulties and challenges.

In that context, according to General Phan Van Giang, the Party Committee of the Army has seriously grasped and concretized the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws into its action program.

The Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and Party committees and commanders at all levels have made efforts to overcome difficulties, have had many policies and solutions to lead and direct the drastic implementation of all aspects of work, and successfully completed the goals and tasks set forth in the Resolution of the 11th Party Congress of the Army.

The Central Military Commission and Party committees and organizations in the entire army always strictly abide by the Party's organizational and operational principles, especially the principle of democratic centralism; leadership capacity and fighting strength are increasingly improved; contributing to maintaining the Party's absolute and direct leadership in all aspects over the Army.
