RT reported on December 1 that speaking to reporters on Air Force One on November 30, President Trump said that Ukraine was facing "some difficult problems" and corruption remained one of the country's main problems.
"There's corruption going on, and it's not helpful," President Trump said, hours after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with a Ukrainian delegation in Florida.

A massive corruption scandal involving close associates of President Volodymyr Zelensky has rocked Ukraine. Ukraine's anti-corruption agencies have accused Timbur Mindich, a former longtime business partner of Zelensky, of leading a $100 million bribery ring in the energy sector, which relies heavily on foreign aid.
Timbur Mindich fled the country to avoid arrest. Seven people have been charged in the scandal, two ministers have resigned while opposition lawmakers claim that more senior officials may be involved.
Another close associate of Zelensky, Andrey Yermak, resigned as head of the Ukrainian president's office last week after anti-corruption investigators raided his apartment. Although he has not been charged, Yermak said he resigned to avoid "causing trouble" for Zelensky.
