President Zelensky is carrying out a plan, Kiev forces enter the main counter-offensive phase?

On July 27, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky went to the city of Dnipro in the southeast of the country to discuss the situation on the ground, supply activities for Kiev forces, as well as ways to strengthen the air defense system.

Sharing on Telegram on July 27, President Zelensky said: “We have started the working day in Dnipro. As always, we pay attention to the supply of ammunition to the army, the effective use of existing air defense systems and strengthening the air shield, including with support from partners.”

As an important economic center in southeastern Ukraine, the city of Dnipro is located not far from the fighting zone, stretching from Kherson in the south, through the Donbass region and north to the Kharkov region.

As a result, Dnipro has become a logistical and humanitarian hub for Ukraine since Russia launched its military operation in February 2022.

On the same day, according to some Pentagon sources, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU) began the main phase of the counteroffensive.

The New York Times (USA) reported that Ukraine “has launched its main counterattack”, in which the VSU has mobilized “thousands of reservists”, many of whom had been trained in the West.

Other sources say that if successful, the new military campaign will last from 1-3 weeks.

Previously, according to military analyst Allan Orr, the VSU counterattack was progressing “unsuccessfully”.

Mr. Allan Orr affirmed that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) did not provide Ukraine with enough resources to counterattack. Meanwhile, Kiev did not have enough time to master new Western equipment.

On July 23, Vladimir Rogov, head of the mass movement in Zaporizhzhia, revealed that the new phase of the VSU counter-offensive is expected to take place from late July to mid-August this year.
