According to some leaked information, Toyota Wigo 2023 will be distributed in the Vietnamese market with 2 versions including version G using D-CVT gearbox and version E using 5-speed manual gearbox. Toyota Wigo 2023 sold in the Vietnamese car market is the G version of Toyota Agya launched in the Indonesian market on February 13.

The Toyota Wigo's engine still has a capacity of 1.2L but has switched to a new 3-cylinder type with a capacity of 87 horsepower, 108 Nm of torque, and a D-CVT continuously variable transmission inherited from its brother Toyota Raize instead of the previous 4-speed automatic type.

With these new upgrades and equipment, when launched, Toyota Wigo 2023 is expected to make "tough" competitors in the A-class car segment such as Hyundai Grand i10 and Kia Morning wary.

Currently, dealers have allowed customers to deposit for the 2023 Wigo model with deposit prices from about 370 million VND and 420 million VND for the 2 MT and D-CVT versions, slightly higher than the selling price of the old car model.

Previously, Wigo was the model with the lowest sales in the segment due to its unattractive equipment compared to other models in the same class. In 2022, Wigo sales reached 488 units after 7 months, then was suspended from sale since August due to not meeting emission requirements.
