In preparation for the village and neighborhood head elections for the 2025-2027 term and to celebrate the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, on December 14th, Ha Long City held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to build a centralized clean water supply system in Ky Thuong commune and the project to invest in and renovate infrastructure in the central area of Tan Dan commune.
The project to build a centralized clean water supply system in Ky Thuong commune is one of four rural clean water projects in the city aimed at achieving the target of 80% of rural households having access to clean water that meets current standards and the criteria for advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas in the communes.
The project has a total investment of nearly 24 billion VND. Its scope includes: the construction of a centralized clean water supply system with a capacity of 300 m³/day; a diversion dam; a raw water pumping station; raw water supply pipelines; regulating valve pits; a clean water treatment area; general technical infrastructure; and a clean water supply network to households. According to the plan, the project will be completed and put into operation in June 2025.
Earlier in October 2024, the city also held groundbreaking ceremonies for two clean water projects in the communes of Son Duong, Dong Lam, Vu Oai, Hoa Binh , Dan Chu, Quang La, Bang Ca, and Tan Dan. In the near future, Ha Long City will continue to start construction on the remaining project, the clean water supply system project in Dong Son commune.
With the aim of concretizing the general planning of Tan Dan commune until 2040, and simultaneously improving the infrastructure and landscape architecture of the commune, the project to invest in and renovate the infrastructure of the central area of Tan Dan commune has a total investment of 23 billion VND. The project will invest in renovating two main roads in the commune center. Route 1 starts from National Highway 279 and ends at Tan Dan Primary and Secondary School; Route 2 starts from National Highway 279 and ends at Tan Dan Kindergarten. Both routes will be constructed with integrated components including roadbeds, surfaces, sidewalks, trees, and drainage ditches. According to the plan, the project will be completed and put into use in July 2025.
The implementation of these two projects serves as a foundation and prerequisite for promoting the more comprehensive development of the communes in all aspects of socio -economic life, improving the quality of life and living standards of the people. In particular, these are not only essential social infrastructure projects but also continue to be clear evidence of Ha Long City's concern and investment in the highland communes, where people are constantly striving to build a better life, moving towards realizing Resolution No. 78-NQ/TU dated January 2, 2024, of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on prioritizing resources, exploiting potential, and promoting socio-economic development of communes by 2025, with a vision to 2030.
