Ha Tinh City simultaneously inaugurated many houses for the poor and meritorious households.

On the morning of May 27, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Ha Tinh City held a ceremony to inaugurate a series of housing projects under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

Mr. Tran Viet Ha - Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Ha Tinh City presented 70,000 million VND in support and gifts to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue - Son Trinh village (Tan Lam Huong commune).

Implementing the Government's program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the city promptly investigated and reviewed to identify the subjects; mobilized the entire political system to participate with high determination and great efforts to implement according to the schedule set by the province.

The city built and repaired 184 houses, including 121 houses for poor and near-poor households (new construction: 75 houses, repair: 46 houses); 63 houses for people with meritorious services (new construction: 30 houses, repair: 33 houses). The total support budget is 9,420 billion VND.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Hung Cuong attended the inauguration ceremony of the house of Ms. Nguyen Thi At's family, in An Nhien parish (Thach Ha ward), a poor single-parent household.

In addition to the support from the province, Party committees and city authorities have actively promoted spirit and responsibility, mobilizing social resources to increase resources for effective and quality construction and repair of works.

Thanks to that, it has created a great influence in the political system and all the people to implement the Government 's major program, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and humanity in caring for the poor, "leaving no one behind".

Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Trong Hieu attended the inauguration ceremony of the house of Ms. Truong Thi Hao's family (Nam Tien residential group, Tran Phu ward), a poor household with especially difficult circumstances.

The whole city has mobilized a total budget of over 15 billion VND; 224 tons of cement, nearly 10,000 working days... to implement the program. In addition to the subjects of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses of the province, the city and wards and communes have also reviewed and supported the construction and repair of 54 more houses for the subjects with a budget of nearly 2 billion VND.

After a period of drastic implementation, up to now, 184/184 houses have been completed and handed over for use.

At the inauguration locations, Ha Tinh City leaders acknowledged and commended the efforts of the Party Committee, government, departments, branches, organizations, agencies and units from the city to the grassroots level who have focused and made efforts to overcome all difficulties to work with families to eliminate makeshift houses and build more solid and safe houses.
