On the morning of June 5, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture and Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture organized an introduction and launch ceremony for the city-level "Startup and Innovation 2025" competition.
The contestants are students studying at universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City. Students will compete in groups (maximum 5 members), the group can come from 1 or moreeducational institutions, with instructors who are lecturers at universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City.

Associate Professor, Dr., Architect Le Van Thuong, Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, said that the competition is not only a useful academic playground but also a place where creative ideas are nurtured, start-up projects are shaped and the spirit of innovation is strongly spread in the student community.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Viet Dung, Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, the fields of participating projects aim to solve community and social problems. The fields include law; education, culture; architecture, construction, planning, design, fine arts; cultural industry; services; digital technology applications; business; community-oriented projects, creating positive impacts on society and the environment.
The "Startup and Innovation 2025" competition is organized by 3 universities: Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture.
The first prize of the contest has a total value of 100 million VND; 2 second prizes, each worth 80 million VND; 2 third prizes, each worth 75 million VND and many other prizes of the contest.
At the same time, the teams entering the final round will be supported by the organizing committee to connect with experts to develop innovative startup projects.
Projects that win first, second, and third prizes will be consulted if they want to participate in the "Students with Startup Ideas" contest organized by the Ministry of Education and Training .
In addition, the winning project will be supported to apply for funding to incubate innovation and start-up projects from the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City with a quota of 40 million VND/project and many other awards such as scholarships to participate in training courses, intellectual property law consultancy, event director, editor, MC, etc.
The final round is expected to be held at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law from August 21 to October 31, 2025.
