Ho Chi Minh City announces 142 entrance exam sites for grade 10 in 2025

On the morning of May 30, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced 142 exam sites for grade 10 entrance in 2025.

The 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City will take place on June 6 and 7. This year, 76,435 candidates registered to take the public 10th grade entrance exam. The total enrollment target for 10th graders in 115 public high schools is 70,070 students.

Candidates for grade 10 will take 3 subjects: literature, math and foreign language. Literature and math will take 120 minutes each; foreign language will take 90 minutes. Candidates for grade 10 specialized or integrated subjects will take an additional specialized or integrated test, with a test time of 150 minutes.

Previously, on May 29, the Ho Chi Minh City Departmentof Education and Training organized a training course on invigilation of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year.

Speaking at the training session, Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said: "The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year is the first 10th grade entrance exam according to the 2018 General Education Program.

The way the exams are organized and the invigilation work remains unchanged compared to previous years. However, this year's exam has many innovations in content, leading to anxiety among candidates and parents, thereby creating pressure on the examination board. I request that the invigilators stay calm, handle unusual situations according to regulations, and not be arbitrarily creative in any situation."
