Ho Chi Minh City surveys investors' interest in 4 BOT projects

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued a document assigning the Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board) to post a notice to survey investors' interest in 4 BOT projects implemented under the special mechanism of Resolution No. 98/2023/QH15 of the National Assembly .

The projects being surveyed include: National Highway 22 upgrade project (from An Suong intersection to Ring Road 3); National Highway 1 expansion project (from Kinh Duong Vuong Street to the old Long An provincial border); North-South axis road project (from Nguyen Van Linh Street to Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway); National Highway 13 expansion project (from Binh Trieu Bridge to the old Binh Duong provincial border).

After conducting the survey, the Traffic Department reported to the City People's Committee, the Department of Finance and the Department of Construction the results of investors' interest in the construction component projects of these 4 projects.

The Department of Construction is assigned to coordinate, provide information, records and documents related to construction component projects of 4 BOT projects to the Traffic Department to post survey notices.

The investment policy to upgrade and expand 4 BOT projects under the special mechanism of Resolution No. 98, with a total investment of more than VND 57,000 billion, was approved by the City People's Council in February 2025.

Of the total capital of 57,000 billion VND, the City budget will participate in site clearance with capital accounting for about 50% of the total investment, the remaining part will be invested by the investor and after completion, the capital will be collected for capital recovery.

Currently, these 4 projects are receiving attention from many investors.

Since 2024, many investors have sent documents to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee wishing to participate in the construction and installation of 4 BOT projects.

Of which, the National Highway 22 expansion project has 3 proposed investors including: Trung Nam Group; Joint Venture of 168 Vietnam Construction Group Joint Stock Company - Dac Dao Construction Joint Stock Company - Dong Thuan Ha Company Limited; 194 Construction Investment Corporation Joint Stock Company.

The North-South Axis Road Upgrade Project (section from Nguyen Van Linh Street to Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway) has 4 investors interested and wishing to participate in the project.
