Ho Chi Minh City to pay pensions at new levels from July 2024

Decree 75/2024/ND-CP dated June 30, 2024 of the Government regulating the adjustment of pension levels, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances for 9 groups receiving pensions, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances before July 1, 2024.

Specifically, from July 1, 2024, an additional 15% increase will be made to the pension, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances calculated for June 2024.

In particular, cases where people receiving pensions, social insurance benefits and monthly benefits after adjustment (except those receiving occupational accident and disease benefits and those receiving monthly death benefits before January 1, 1995) are lower than 3.5 million VND/month will be adjusted to increase to reach the minimum benefit level of 3.5 million VND/month.

The additional levels include an increase of VND 300,000/person/month for those with a benefit level below VND 3.2 million/person/month, and an increase of VND 3.5 million/person/month for those with a benefit level from VND 3.2 million to under VND 3.5 million/person/month.

In the payment period of July 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance will pay at the new level to beneficiaries.

For those who start receiving benefits from July 1, 2024, if pensions, social insurance benefits, and monthly benefits have not been calculated according to the new basic salary, they will be adjusted and paid after the July 2024 salary payment period as soon as possible.

Payment schedule for July 2024 according to the new benefit level in Decree No. 75 regulating the organization of payment in cash at payment points of Ho Chi Minh City Post Office starting from July 1 to July 25, 2024.

For non-cash payment, Ho Chi Minh City Social Security transfers money to beneficiaries' accounts from July 1 to July 2, 2024.
