Within the framework of accompanying National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on an official visit to the Republic of Cuba, on April 20 (La Habana time) in the capital of La Habana, Cuba, Mr. Duong Anh Duc, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, on behalf of the Party Committee and the government of Ho Chi Minh City, transferred the amount of 250,000 USD from the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to Mr. Raul Rodriguez Carricate, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba.
This amount is to support the Cuban Party, State and People to overcome the consequences of the fire in Matanzas province in August 2022.

On behalf of the Party, State and People of Cuba, Mr. Raul Rodriguez Carricate, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba, sincerely thanked the Party Committee and government of Ho Chi Minh City for the support given to Matanzas province and the people of Cuba.
It is expected that during the activities accompanying National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on his official visits to Cuba, the Republic of Argentina and the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, Mr. Duong Anh Duc will, on behalf of the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, present a statue of President Ho Chi Minh to the Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina, and sign a Letter of Intent on a cooperation project between Ho Chi Minh City and Buenos Aires province (Argentina) and Montevideo city (Uruguay).
In particular, there is cooperation in the fields of culture andeducation between Ho Chi Minh City and Buenos Aires province (Argentina) and Montevideo city (Uruguay).
