Ho Chi Minh City opens spokesperson training course

On the morning of November 18, the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center opened a training course on Spokesperson and Information Provision for the Press in 2025. The program was organized according to the plan of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, aiming to build a team of more professional, proactive and responsible spokespeople in public communication.

This training course has 126 trainees from departments, branches, communes, wards, and special zones, studying 6 key topics at the City Press Center, Cau Ong Lanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Hoi, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, spoke at the opening ceremony.

Experts in the field of journalism and media share regulations on press law, skills in organizing press conferences, press relations, handling media crises and practicing answering interviews in real-life situations.

The organizers said the program's goal is to contribute to increasing transparency, improving the quality of official information and strengthening people's trust in the city's public authorities, especially when implementing the two-level local government model.

The training course is organized into 2 classes: Class 1 takes place on November 18, 20 and 25, 2025; Class 2 takes place on November 19, 21 and 26, 2025.

6 key topics were shared at the training course, including: Some basic regulations of the Press Law, Decree 09/2017/ND-CP; Implementation status of the Press Law, Decree 09/2017/ND-CP on speaking and providing information to the press in the past time; Press relations, answering press interviews; Skills in organizing press conferences, writing press releases; Media crisis and crisis handling, some situations to note; Practice answering interviews, writing press releases.
