Ho Chi Minh City: Reluctantly saying goodbye to the forces participating in the parade

On the morning of May 2, at Terminal T3, Tan Son Nhat Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Military Region 7 Command and Ho Chi Minh City Command, together with representatives of all walks of life of the City, came to see off the forces participating in the parade and marching in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) back to their units.

On behalf of the city's leadership, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; and Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, presented flowers and gifts to the officers and soldiers participating in the parade during the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country; expressing gratitude for their efforts in training and their contributions to the success of the celebration.

The farewell ceremony for the forces participating in the parade during the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country took place in a solemn yet moving atmosphere, filled with love and affection; reflecting the cherished sentiments and fine traditions of the Party Committee, government, and people of Ho Chi Minh City - a city that is "civilized, modern, and compassionate".

It is known that on May 2nd, the forces participating in the parade from the Ministry of National Defense , the 12th Army Corps, the Air Force, the Armored Corps, the Signal Corps, the Special Forces, Military Regions 1, 2, 3, and 4, and the Army Ceremonial Unit will return to their units on four flights from Tan Son Nhat Airport.

Earlier, on the evening of May 1st, at Bien Hoa train station (Dong Nai province), leaders of the Ministry of National Defense visited and encouraged over 1,000 officers and soldiers from several armed forces units who had completed their parade and march duties and were returning to their units in the central and northern provinces. On the same day, the Binh Duong Provincial Military Command also solemnly held a farewell ceremony for the parade contingents of the Chinese, Lao, and Cambodian armies that participated in the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country.

During the 50th anniversary celebration of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), held on the morning of April 30 in Ho Chi Minh City, 38 marching contingents of the armed forces participated. Of these, 31 contingents consisted of officers and soldiers from the Army and Police forces who marched from the North and Central regions to the South to participate in the parade.
