At the launching ceremony, delegates planted 135 trees, commemorating the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh . This is also considered a symbol of gratitude, a message of initiation for green projects in the future. On this occasion, Thu Duc City donated 3,400 trees to 34 wards in the area.
Chairman of Thu Duc City People's Committee Hoang Tung shared that in recent years, Thu Duc City has made efforts to expand green space in the area, aiming for the goal of 1,800 hectares of parks approved by the Prime Minister in the Thu Duc City master plan. Since its establishment (2021) up to now, Thu Duc City has planted more than 1 million new trees, built 36 parks through the Gift Garden project, adding green to each neighborhood and each street.
