HCMC: Public 10th grade entrance exam takes place at 158 ​​testing locations

Accordingly, the 2025-2026 public high school entrance exam has 76,435 candidates registered in the city.

Compared to previous school years, the number of 9th grade students has decreased significantly, reducing the pressure of competition to enter public 10th grade.

This year, the total enrollment target for 115 public high schools is 70,070 students.

Students participate in the 10th grade admission exam for the 2024-2025 school year in Ho Chi Minh City

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training plans to organize 158 exam sites with 4,424 exam rooms; mobilize 13,272 exam invigilators and 2,070 service staff.

The exam marking is expected to take place from June 8 to June 25, 2025.

For the high school graduation exam, the total number of registered candidates is 99,578 students, an increase of 8,891 students compared to 2024. Of which, Foreign Language has the largest number of registered students with 49,328 students.

It is expected that the whole city will have 200 examination sites with 5,600 examination rooms; 14,112 officials, teachers and employees will be mobilized to participate in the examination. The examination marking is expected to take place from June 30 to July 13, 2025.

Particularly for primary school admissions (grades 1 and 6), in the 2025-2026 school year, Ho Chi Minh City plans to enroll 113,417 students in grade 1 and 124,108 students in grade 6. To date, the data confirmation rate has reached 99.85%.
