The event is part of the Hanoi 2024 night tourism promotion program - Truc Bach night to bring many night experiences to people and tourists when coming to Hanoi.
The entire event space will be set up like a film studio with the backdrop of a neighborhood, train cars, department stores, tailor shops, photo studios, etc.
Walking along the 200m long street, visitors seem to go back in time to the memories of one of the country's special periods.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang said that besides tangible cultural works, Hanoi also has many intangible cultural values such as artistic traditions, festivals and the elegant lifestyle of Trang An people.
Hanoi, with its ancient beauty and modern pace of life, is truly an attractive tourist destination for domestic and foreign visitors.
"Pearl Island Truc Bach" was chosen to host this event because this is a place that is considered to have a peaceful natural landscape, truly "passionate Hanoi".
"This is not only a suitable place to organize cultural and artistic activities but can also strongly develop services such as cuisine, entertainment, and night-time tourism experiences," Ms. Giang shared.

Cultural space experiences include: Thuy Trung Tien temple, Truc Bach lake, Ngu Xa pearl island, check-in spaces in resonant decorative areas, connecting points in the street area.
The highlight of the program is the experience tour of metro line 6 - "Hanoi Street Museum".
Here, visitors can interact with the community on different topics on four cars of metro line 6.
Each train car carries a typical culinary theme of Hanoi and Vietnam such as rice - paddy - rice, pho - vermicelli - noodles, kitchen - cupboard - tray... and the cars are like trains carrying heritage, "mini museums" of culture and cuisine.

Having only heard stories about the subsidy period through her grandmother and mother, Khanh Linh (living in Dong Da district, Hanoi) was excited to see with her own eyes the stalls with the strong colors of the ration stamp era recreated.
"Besides the historical settings and shops, I was very impressed with the street vendors. When I was a child, the street vendors carrying flowers and Hanoi's gifts on their shoulders along the streets were deeply imprinted in my mind.
Growing up, those shoulder poles were replaced by pushcarts, which made me feel very regretful. Today, looking back at the shoulder poles, the baskets full of green rice, wrapped flowers, etc., I feel very nostalgic," Khanh Linh confided.

Along with that are experiences of wood-roasted coffee, making coffee scented bags, miniature food models, and figurines... throughout the days of the event.
The event takes place with many interesting activities from now until December 1, at the culinary area of Ngoc Dao Ngu Xa.
