The program “Traditional Tet Experience” at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology this weekend attracted a large number of children and their parents to participate. This is an activity towards the program “Happy Spring At Ty: Cultural nuances of Muong, Hoa Binh ” of the Museum taking place on the 4th and 5th of Tet At Ty.
The program is an opportunity for the public to explore the similarities and differences of the day. Tet traditional art of the Muong and Vietnamese people. The activity had the participation of folk artists from Hoa Binh, Hanoi and students in Hanoi.
Participating in the program, visitors have the opportunity to learn about the beauty of traditional Tet through the activities of erecting a pole, wrapping Chung cakes of the Vietnamese and Muong people; writing calligraphy, printing Dong Ho paintings...
Children can participate in many traditional games associated with Tet of ethnic groups, such as: tug of war, grass ball, beating the ball, badminton, hitting the board, spinning top, throwing pao, throwing con, pushing sticks... Besides, creative activities such as painting to explore Hoa Binh's cultural heritage, painting the 12 zodiac animals or making funny clay figurines will also bring joy and excitement to the children.
This year, the program also introduces technology-based activities, bringing new experiences to visitors, especially young people. Some highlights include the activities: "Overcoming the challenge of discovering the Lunar New Year", "Snake Year Tour to learn about snakes in the Museum", "Experience drawing snakes and learning about their meanings"... to learn about the meaning of snakes in the culture of some ethnic groups through the Museum's artifacts.
