Quang Binh Commune Health Station currently has 4 staff (1 doctor, 1 obstetrician, 2 general practitioners). The station's staff, doctors and nurses always strive to improve their professional qualifications, service attitude and patient care, creating peace of mind and trust for patients. Every year, the station examines and treats tens of thousands of patients, exceeding the assigned targets... The station also always organizes first aid well and promptly transfers serious cases to higher-level hospitals, preventing accidents due to lack of spirit, responsibility and professional errors. In particular, the past 2 years have been an extremely difficult and challenging time for those working at the grassroots health care level in general and at the Quang Binh Commune Health Station in particular. At the time of the COVID-19 outbreak, the grassroots health care staff were tasked with heavy responsibilities. The medical staff team has been tested, tempered and increasingly steadfast when shouldering the noble mission of curing and saving people. They have put aside their personal happiness and family life to be on duty at the health station; focusing all resources on receiving, tracing, testing, examining, consulting, treating remotely, enhancing emergency capacity when patients need it; being the link connecting people with the nearest "gatekeeper" health care level.

Doctor Nguyen Van Phu, Head of Quang Binh Commune Health Station, said: In order to promote the role of "gatekeeper" in caring for and protecting people's health, in 2014, the station was interested in investing in building infrastructure with a 2-storey building with 12 rooms, along with many essential equipment, tools, chemicals, and medical drugs, ensuring the implementation of functions, tasks, and serving the work of disease prevention and control; building a model medicinal herb garden with more than 60 types of medicinal herbs, combined with oriental medicine to treat patients. Along with that, the station has created conditions and encouraged staff to study and improve their professional qualifications and skills. Each officer in the station regularly innovates working methods, improves knowledge, and actively participates in training courses organized by the district and provincial levels. Along with professional activities, training in medical ethics is regularly focused on, constantly improving the spirit and attitude of serving and caring for patients. Along with that, the station has effectively implemented national target programs on health; food hygiene and safety; environmental sanitation; coordinated well in the implementation of health examination, monitoring and management for the elderly and rehabilitation for the disabled and those with chronic non-communicable diseases; the rate of children of vaccination age receiving full doses of vaccination reached 100%; pregnant women were managed for pregnancy, had regular prenatal check-ups 3 times during pregnancy; children aged 0 to 5 years old were given vitamin A twice a year, and received nutrition counseling..., so the rate of malnutrition in children decreased year by year.

When I come for a check-up, the doctor examines and gives me detailed instructions. All the costs of the check-up and medicine are covered by insurance, so there is no charge. When I leave, the doctors and nurses also care about me and give me instructions on how to take care of my health and how to handle any health problems. I am very satisfied and grateful.”
