All night emergency care, timely treatment for victims in the landslide in Khanh Hoa

SKĐS - At 1:25 a.m. on November 17, Khanh Hoa General Hospital received 19 patients at the same time from a passenger bus accident buried by rocks and soil at Khanh Le Pass, National Highway 27C.

As soon as the internal red alert was received, the hospital leadership activated the emergency response procedure, mobilizing maximum forces of the foreign, resuscitation, and paraclinical sectors, fully preparing medicines, supplies, and equipment to receive, classify, and promptly treat patients.

The patients were hospitalized with multiple injuries: traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, abdominal injury, closed chest injury, rib fracture, lung contusion, broken arm, broken leg, broken collarbone, dislocation... 03 cases were transferred for emergency surgery that night and received intensive surgical resuscitation.

Hospital leaders have activated emergency response procedures.

Throughout the night, the medical staff of Khanh Hoa General Hospital worked continuously, implementing treatment measures and closely monitoring the progress of each patient. Human resources continued to be increased to ensure that all patients received timely and adequate care. Up to this point, 2 mild patients have been discharged from the hospital, the remaining 17 cases are being treated at the hospital and their health condition is stable.

The accident that led to a series of patients being hospitalized occurred at around 22:30 on November 16, at km45 of Khanh Le Pass (section through Nam Khanh Vinh commune), a landslide occurred. The passenger bus carrying 29 passengers and 3 drivers, while traveling from Da Lat to Quang Ngai , was suddenly hit by rocks and soil falling from the slope, injuring many people.

Hospital leaders directly visited and encouraged patients to stabilize their spirits and feel secure in their treatment and recovery at the hospital.

Khanh Hoa General Hospital recommends that people should be especially careful when traveling during heavy rains and avoid going into steep mountain passes to ensure the health and safety of themselves and their loved ones.

The accident resulted in a series of hospitalizations.
