Pointing to his name on the board, Mr. Tran Khanh Vinh (Kontum) said that this was his second time participating in Tien Phong Marathon. The first time was in Phu Yen last summer, the weather was quite hot. Mr. Vinh shared that his purpose of participating in running was to… lose weight.
With a well-proportioned and healthy body, Ms. Thu Thuy said she will participate in the full-marathon. This is a tough distance even for professional athletes. Conquering this distance is the desire of many amateur runners, with the desire to surpass their own limits.

Until almost noon, the square area was still bustling with runners taking photos, interacting, and receiving bib shirts. Mr. Long, from Hanoi , said that he and a group of friends drove to Dong Ha from the evening of the 27th and had time to visit many places. Having a hobby of taking photos, every day in addition to practicing to prepare for the competition, he invited his friends to go to the suburbs to take photos and visit places.
For most runners, running is for health training, but at the same time it is also a useful community exchange activity. Especially with Tien Phong Marathon, the joy is doubled when the localities organizing it all have their own unique marks. Therefore, many people often go with their whole family, or invite friends to join as a short vacation. Outside of the race day, everyone comes early to visit, travel and enjoy local dishes.

Mr. Chien (Hanoi) said that the first time he came to Quang Tri, he was extremely moved when he first set foot on Hien Luong Bridge, the bridge connecting the two banks of Ben Hai, a testament to the years of separation between the two regions. These days, Hien Luong Bridge is bustling with tourists and runners from different regions coming to take pictures and record memories.
“The air is fresh, the food is delicious and clean, and the flavor is quite unique,” said Mr. Chien, adding that some pho restaurants in Dong Ha have flavors that are just as appealing as pho in Hanoi.

In addition to Hien Luong Bridge, runners also did not miss the opportunity to visit famous landmarks of Quang Tri such as Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery, Highway 9 National Martyrs Cemetery or Thach Han River... These are all red addresses associated with the country's tradition of fighting foreign invaders.
