Before selling fake drugs to the market, the suspects often bought real drugs and then introduced and sold them to drug stores in many provinces and cities across the country. After having a source to sell drugs, the suspects replaced the real drugs with fake drugs for subsequent sales.

Not only counterfeiting other drugs, this fake drug production line also named some new drugs, recorded the name of the foreign manufacturing company, and introduced them as "hand-carried goods" to sell to people.

Initially, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police determined that from 2021 until their arrest, the subjects had illegally profited nearly 200 billion VND from selling fake drugs.
