North Korea has a new Prime Minister, elected a series of senior officials, and announced its strongest response to the US

According to KCNA, North Korea called for continued improvement of the military's combat capabilities, making a strategic statement of the strongest retaliation against the US for the sake of national security.

On December 29, the 11th Plenary Session of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea announced the list of official and alternate members of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, official and alternate members of the Politburo of the Central Committee, and additional members of the Politburo Standing Committee elected at this conference.

According to a statement released after the meeting, the above list includes:

Members of the Party Central Committee: Jong Myong Su, Yun Jong Ho, No Kwang Chol, Ri Hi Yong, Song Jun Sol and Kang Myong Chol.

Alternate members of the Central Committee of the Party: Kim Jo Guk, Kim Yong Bok, Kwon Song Hwan, Ri Man Su, Kim Song Bin, Jon Ryong Nam, Hwang Yong Gil, Ri Jong Sik, Sin Chang Gil, Yun Chi Gol and Hong Kil Ho.

Members of the Politburo of the Central Committee: Ri Yong Gil, Choe Son Hui, No Kwang Chol, Kim Jong Gwan, Ri Hi Yong and Choe Tong Myong.

Alternate members of the Politburo of the Central Committee: Pang Tu Sop and Kim Chol Won.

Member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Central Committee: Pak Thae Song.

The Central Committee Secretaries elected at the Conference: Choe Tong Myong, Kim Tok Hun and Ri Hi Yong.

Additional members of the Central Military Commission were elected: No Kwang Chol, Pang Tu Sop and Kim Jong Sik.

The newly elected Chairman, Vice Chairman and members of the Central Party Inspection Commission are: Chairman Ri Hi Yong, Vice Chairmen Kim Jae Ryong and Kim Hyong Sik, and Member: Kang Myong Chol.

The heads of the Central Committee's departments were appointed: Ri Hi Yong, Kim Tok Hun and Kim Jae Ryong.

Appointed First Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee: Kim Chol Sam - First Secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Party Committee.

The Prime Minister and senior cabinet officials appointed: Prime Minister Pak Thae Song, Deputy Prime Minister Kim Jong Gwan, Minister of Natural Resources Development Kwon Song Hwan and Minister of Commerce Kim Yong Sik.

On the same day, December 29, KCNA reported that the year-end plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, held from December 23-27 and chaired by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, issued a statement on the strongest strategic response to the US for the sake of national security.

Also according to KCNA , during the meeting, leader Kim Jong Un ordered the improvement of combat tactics to meet the needs of modern warfare and the enemy's efforts to change warfare, and called for further improvement of the army's combat capabilities.
