Planting more than 20,300 trees, greening the campus of Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant

Recently, on May 14, responding to the movement "Tet tree planting - Forever grateful to Uncle Ho", at Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant (Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province), Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company organized the launching ceremony of Tet tree planting in 2025 with the participation of many officials, employees and youth union members of the company.

This is a meaningful and practical activity in response to the final year of the program to implement Joint Directive No. 972/CTLT-EVN-CĐĐVN dated March 1, 2021 of Vietnam Electricity Group and Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, aiming to plant and care for 1 million new trees in the period 2021-2025.

“Planting trees is not only an obligation but also a responsibility to future generations. Each newly planted tree is a commitment to a healthy, green - clean - beautiful living environment right at Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company”, Mr. Thien Thanh Son, Director of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company, emphasized.

At the ceremony, the company's leaders called on all staff, workers and youth union members to actively participate in the movement, each person planting and caring for at least one tree, contributing to environmental protection and minimizing the impact of climate change.

Many officers and employees of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company participated in planting trees.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, officers and employees of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company planted 300 new trees of various kinds, such as poplar, banyan, coconut and fertilized the previously planted trees.

The tree planting movement at Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant is an activity with strong spreading effects. Up to now, the company has planted more than 20,300 trees and 102,252m² of ornamental grass, covering 23ha of the factory campus. The selected trees are all drought-resistant and adaptable to the harsh climate conditions of the arid region.
