On April 15 in Ho Chi Minh City, the workshop “Tracing the origin of products and goods in the national digital transformation program” took place at REX Hotel, organized by Vietnam Anti-Counterfeiting Technology Joint Stock Company (ACTIV) in collaboration with Techfest Vietnam. The event was attended by state management agencies, business representatives and technology experts, with the expectation of promoting a transparent consumer ecosystem, focusing on consumer trust.
At the event, the TrueData technology solution - a product traceability system based on RFID chips - was introduced as a new step forward in supply chain management and brand protection. TrueData allows each product to be attached with an "electronic ID", storing full information about its origin, circulation process, distribution history... Consumers only need to use their smartphones to scan the chip to be able to look up the entire product journey from the place of production to the user.
Mr. Pham Van Tho - Chairman of ACTIV, emphasized: "Each RFID chip is a complete story, encoded with absolute security. This is not only a tool to protect businesses but also a new power for consumers".
TrueData solution also fully meets the requirements of Circular No. 02/2024/TT-BKHCN, demonstrating its legality and conformity with the national digital transformation orientation.
At the panel discussion within the framework of the workshop, speakers analyzed the necessity of traceability in the context of globalization and digitalization, when consumers increasingly demand higher levels of information transparency. Important policies such as Decision 100/QD-TTg (2019), Decree 13/2022/ND-CP, Directive 38/CT-TW (2024), and Resolution 57-NQ/TW (2024) were all cited to affirm that traceability is an essential requirement in state management, consumer protection and sustainable economic development.
An important highlight of the workshop was ACTIV's announcement of its decision to establish 40 representative offices in provinces and cities, starting with Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi . This is a step to promote the dissemination of traceability technology locally, while protecting corporate brands and consumer rights on a broader scale.
Also at the event, the Steering Committee for the establishment of the Association of organizations researching and applying solutions for tracing the origin of products and goods was officially launched - a positive sign paving the way for connection and synchronous development in this field.
The workshop is not only an opportunity to introduce a new technology, but also an opportunity for the business community to join hands to create a transparent and fair consumer environment. In the digital age, traceability is not simply a choice, but a foundation for building trust - a prerequisite for Vietnamese goods to go far.
