In early November 2025, the South Central region was devastated by the devastation of storm No. 13. As soon as the storm dissipated, hundreds of officers and soldiers of the South Central Mobile Police Regiment quickly dispersed to key areas, racing against time to overcome the consequences.

That spirit was concretized by action. Immediately after receiving orders from the Command, the Regiment mobilized a total force of 300 officers and soldiers along with special vehicles to spread out in the directions of Quang Ngai, Gia Lai , and Khanh Hoa.

In the coastal commune of Van Tuong ( Quang Ngai ), the road leading to the fishing port of An Cuong village was broken by waves, flooded with concrete, bricks and stones. Dozens of officers and soldiers braved the harsh sun after the storm, using their bare hands and rudimentary tools to clear this vital road.

According to old fisherman Tran Van Ba (residing in Thanh Thuy village, Van Tuong commune) shared after his basket boat was carried to the edge of the sea by soldiers: "The storm came so quickly, I thought I had lost my "fishing rod". Luckily, the traffic police officers arrived in time, not minding the mud and dirt, helping me pull the boat and clean up the dock. Thanks to them, we fishermen can safely return to sea so quickly."

Not only in the coastal areas, in the areas of Gia Lai province (according to reports), the imprint of the soldiers of Regiment E23 is also present everywhere. From clearing fallen trees on the main roads in Quy Nhon ward, to re-roofing each tile in Tuy Phuoc commune.

Canoes and motorboats of the CSCĐ force were mobilized to the maximum, not afraid of danger to approach deeply flooded areas, bringing people and property to safety.

Standing in front of her house that had just been re-roofed with a brand new corrugated iron roof, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lanh (a policy beneficiary family in area 7, Quy Nhon Bac ward) was so moved that she could not speak. The storm had blown away her roof, leaving her family homeless. " They worked so fast, it was done in a flash. I am old and lonely, without the soldiers and police coming to help, I don't know how I would manage in the coming days," Mrs. Lanh choked up.

Present at the scene to direct the support work, Colonel Nguyen Hai Anh - Party Secretary, Regiment Commander of Regiment E23, shared with us while his uniform was still soaked with rain:   "For us, protecting people's lives and property from natural disasters is the highest combat command, an order from the heart of a soldier. Even before the storm made landfall, the unit activated the highest state of readiness. After the storm, realizing that people needed us, we thoroughly implemented the spirit of 'doing our job until the end of the day, not until the end of the day', concentrating all our forces so that people could soon have their roofs back and fishermen could soon go back to sea."

CSCĐ soldiers urgently surveyed the scene to come up with a cleanup plan.

Preliminary statistics show that, in just a few short days after the storm, the E23 Regiment has supported the repair and reinforcement of dozens of houses, cleaned up hundreds of meters of roads and public works. These telling numbers, along with the touching tears of people like Mrs. Lanh and Mr. Ba, are the clearest evidence of the spirit of "serving the people" of the South Central Coast CSCĐ soldiers in peacetime.
