Vietnam Anti-Doping Center proactively overcomes difficulties and successfully completes assigned tasks

On the morning of April 23 in Hanoi, Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet had a working session with the leaders of the Vietnam Anti-Doping Center on the work to be carried out in the coming time as well as outstanding issues that need to be promptly resolved.

Vietnam Anti-Doping Center proactively and actively overcomes difficulties and shortcomings to successfully complete assigned tasks.

Reporting to Director Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet, Director of the Vietnam Anti-Doping Center Le Minh Ha said that the unit currently has 16 staff working in 02 departments including Doping Control and Administration and General Department.

In 2025, the Center will organize a training course on Circular 01/2024 and a training course on anti-dopingeducation and communication for localities, athlete training facilities and Federations/Associations.

Also in 2025, the Center will further promote anti-doping education and communication through organizing anti-doping training for sports management officials nationwide and collaborators nationwide; training on anti-doping knowledge for national sports associations; training on anti-doping knowledge for Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism/Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Along with that, the Center will conduct direct anti-doping communication at 20 sports tournaments organized by departments and sports associations.

In particular, identifying the importance of raising awareness for athletes and coaches in preventing and combating Doping, the center's staff will conduct education for athletes returning after being punished; guide athletes and athletes' supporters to participate in courses and take exams to obtain certificates on the ADEL system.

In addition, the Center will continue to expand international cooperation with countries such as China, Thailand, Taiwan; participate in conferences, seminars, online or direct training of the World Anti-Doping Agency, regional anti-doping agencies or other anti-doping organizations...

In addition to regular tasks, the difficulties and problems that the Center is currently facing in finance, asset management, project management, human resources, etc. were also shared by Director Le Minh Ha.

The overall picture of the project for site clearance, fire prevention and fighting, and the package of clinic and laboratory equipment was also presented by Director Le Minh Ha at the meeting.

Sharing the difficulties that the Vietnam Anti-Doping Center is facing at the present time, the Planning and Finance Department has answered questions related to finance as well as proposed solutions to remove the backlog. The Planning and Finance Department also requested the Vietnam Anti-Doping Center to closely coordinate with the unit to handle unsettled, unfinished and prolonged projects.

Regarding personnel organization, the Personnel Organization Department said that the Vietnam Anti-Doping Center is coordinating well with the unit to properly implement the regulations of this work.

Also attending the meeting, Deputy Director Le Thi Hoang Yen also highly appreciated the efforts of the Vietnam Anti-Doping Center in implementing professional tasks, especially actively completing Circular 01/2024/TT-BVHTTDL; propaganda on anti-doping at tournaments is practical and highly effective. Along with that, it is necessary to coordinate with the Sports Information and Communication Center in promoting propaganda activities related to anti-doping. In addition to the achieved results, Deputy Director Le Thi Hoang Yen also requested the Center to continue to closely coordinate with related units to promptly find solutions to overcome outstanding problems.

In his concluding remarks at the meeting, Director Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet requested that the Vietnam Anti-Doping Center absorb the comments and actively and proactively advise and coordinate with relevant units to find ways to resolve outstanding issues. Director Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet noted that the unit needs to prioritize truly urgent issues to resolve first. For unfinished and prolonged projects, the Vietnam Anti-Doping Center needs to review in detail as well as understand the implementation process of the next steps. For special projects, the Center needs to propose special mechanisms.

Along with that, Director Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet requested the Vietnam Anti-Doping Center to proactively and regularly report to leaders at all levels about the status of these projects.

Receiving the instructions of Director Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet, Director Le Minh Ha said that immediately after the working session, the leadership and staff of the Vietnam Anti-Doping Center will immediately deploy the work contents in a positive and proactive manner, and regularly report to leaders at all levels on the progress of implementation as well as the results achieved.
