At the ceremony announcing the Prime Minister's decision to convert the National Economics University into a university on the morning of January 12, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son noted that this conversion is not just a change of name but also requires a change in vision, capacity, and management level, to bring university autonomy to greater efficiency.

Minister Nguyen Kim Son shared: The importance of a university lies in the fact that it is a large entity with an internal structure that requires high university management capacity and level, aiming for development, demonstrating the desire for development and growth. Universities allow for the promotion of autonomy and dynamism. Autonomy can be implemented down to the lowest level units and to professional groups and scientists .
"If the organizational model design does not aim to liberate the creative capacity from within theeducational institution, the model transformation will not bring much value. The new organizational and internal management model that the school chooses creates greater capacity, allows liberation from within, liberation in depth, and brings university autonomy to higher efficiency," said Mr. Son.
According to Minister Nguyen Kim Son, the aspiration of universities to "transform" when switching to a university model is something to be respected, but it is necessary to aim for practical contributions.
