Vietnam-Germany University announces results of early admission method

On June 25, Vietnam-Germany University (VGU) announced the admission scores for the school's early admission methods, which are the separate TestAS exam and high school transcript scores.

Accordingly, VGU has announced early admission results for the majors of Computer Science , Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, and Finance - Accounting.

It is known that in 2023, the School will enroll 775 students for the 7 majors mentioned above.

Computer Science has been considered the "hottest" major at VGU for many years in terms of both the quantity and quality of candidates. Over 70% of candidates who took the exam had a score of 110/130 in the TestAS exam and about 30% of candidates had an average score of 9.0 or higher based on their high school transcripts.

The school representative said that for the method of considering high school transcript scores, VGU uses the average score calculation of 5 subjects including 3 compulsory subjects (Math, Literature, Foreign Language) and 2 elective subjects (in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Informatics).

In which, Computer Science has the highest admission floor score of 8.0 and the lowest is Civil Engineering with 7.0.

During this period, VGU also announced the results of the entrance talent scholarship for about 25% of candidates admitted to university early in 2023.

Accordingly, candidates will receive 100%, 50% and 25% scholarships for the first year of study. In subsequent years, scholarships will be considered based on academic performance.

In addition, from now until July 30, candidates can continue to apply to VGU using the high school exam score selection method and other direct admission methods according to the Ministry's regulations.

Note: English entry is a prerequisite for all admission methods at VGU. Successful candidates are required to have a minimum IELTS score of 5.0 or an equivalent English certificate or to pass the English entrance test organized by VGU.
