This is the first school under Ho Chi Minh City National University to announce its plan for regular university enrollment in 2025.
According to Master Cu Xuan Tien - Head of Admissions and Student Affairs Department of University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University), implementing the unified policy of Ho Chi Minh City National University, in 2025 the school plans to enroll students according to 3 admission methods.
"The 2025 enrollment plan was developed by the school to select excellent candidates, ensuring input quality that is suitable for the school's training requirements and meets the strict demands of the labor market," said Mr. Tien.
In 2025, implementing the unified policy of Ho Chi Minh City National University, University of Economics and Law plans to enroll students according to 3 admission methods:
Method 1: Direct admission and priority direct admission (up to 20% of total enrollment quota)
Method 2: Admission based on the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University's Competency Assessment Exam (40 - 60% of total enrollment target)
Method 3: Admission based on high school graduation exam results in 2025 (30% - 50% of total target)
The school also announced 4 subject combinations for admission, including:
* Math - English - Literature
* Math - English - Physics
* Math - English - Computer Science
* Math - English - Economic and legaleducation
"The school will announce the detailed 2025 enrollment plan before February 2025. In case the Ministry of Education and Training and Ho Chi Minh City National University issue new enrollment regulations, the school will update and adjust the enrollment plan in accordance with the regulations," Mr. Tien added.
Previously, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Hai Quan - Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University - said that in 2025, Ho Chi Minh City National University agreed to implement 3 university admission methods including: direct admission, admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University, and admission based on high school exam results.
Ho Chi Minh City National University will determine the threshold to ensure common input quality throughout the system.
Member schools and affiliated units are autonomous in determining and selecting admission criteria and implementation methods appropriate to the training profession.
Reduce admission methods
In 2024, the University of Economics and Law will enroll students in 5 ways with 2,600 targets for 15 majors, 23 majors/specializations taught in Vietnamese, 8 majors/specializations taught in English.
The school has received more than 75,000 applications for admission, an increase of 10% compared to 2023. Admission scores in most majors have increased compared to the 2023 admission period.
Thus, in 2025, the school will reduce 2 admission methods compared to 2024.
